“Nevaeh” is “heaven” spelled backwards, an appropriate name for this remarkably luxurious eight-bedroom beach house on the island of Anguilla in the Caribbean. As a modern interpretation of a traditional Balinese home, Nevaeh boasts character and class, and was uniquely designed by OBM International, a leading global architectural design firm, so that all the facilities and rooms on the ground level are completely accessible by wheelchair, including convenient access to the beach. Steps away from a pristine white-sand beach on Anguilla’s exclusive Long Bay, the elegant home is on a 1.35 acre site and includes a movie theater, media room, multi-level infinity pool and spa, an oversized kitchen, a Japanese courtyard and traditional garden, a tennis/basketball court, fitness room and a golf simulator. There are five beautiful bedrooms in the main house, including two master suites. A secluded guest pavilion holds three more. All are luxuriously appointed and the ocean breezes add a special touch to the beach-facing suites.
Key design features in keeping with a modern Balinese home include utilising natural ventilation through perfectly place openings to the outside environment to utilise the site’s idyllic trade breezes. The home boasts a central courtyard that provides assess to all points of the home while providing unparalleled views from the moment you step into it. Traditional landscape design elements creates the perfect way to unwind, contemplate, and enjoy mother nature and the idyllic setting of Long Bay. Surrounding the inviting pool and pool deck are carved stone panels featuring intricate patterns of leaves and palms, natural garden landscaping and specifically-designed open areas make the pool and its surrounding areas the cornerstone of the property and an aquatic reflection of the distinctive island home.
