About Rosa Alpina Penthouse

A Luxurious Reinvention in the Dolomites

Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, an Italian architectural studio, has once again joined forces with the esteemed Rosa Alpina Hotel SPA. This collaboration highlights the hotel’s status as a pinnacle of Italian hospitality excellence. Nestled in the picturesque village of San Cassiano in Alta Badia, right at the heart of the Dolomites, this hotel stands as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It features a three-star Michelin restaurant and a spacious, newly-renovated SPA area. The hotel’s luxury quotient recently escalated with the addition of a stunning 1,722 sq ft (160 sqm) Penthouse, designed by the Milanese studio.

Penthouse Elegance

Located on the Engelstrakt wing’s fourth floor, the new penthouse comprises three suites, a vast lounge with glass panel windows offering breathtaking mountain views, a fireplace, bar, and kitchen area. These bright, open spaces ensure guests can immerse themselves in the majestic Dolomites’ beauty without stepping outside. The penthouse boasts a private wellness area that opens up to panoramic mountain views, offering a serene retreat for both body and mind.

Design That Marries Tradition and Modernity

Architects Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino have masterfully blended tradition with contemporary design, creating an elegant mix that resonates with the location’s identity. The penthouse features furniture from renowned designers like Tom Dixon and Edra, adding sophisticated elegance to the wood-dominated rooms, typical of mountain construction. This blend of traditional materials with modern design elements crafts warm, inviting spaces that beckon guests to relax in harmony with the landscape.

Vudafieri-Saverino Partners have meticulously paid attention to detail, achieving a delicate balance between nature and man-made luxury. This balance defines a unique sense of luxury marked by elegance and discretion.

Renewed Collaboration and Environmental Consciousness

The penthouse project marks a continued partnership that began in 2008, when Vudafieri-Saverino Partners designed 10 suites for Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa. Located in a new wing built from wood and materials with low environmental impact, these rooms mirror the mountains’ rigorous elegance. They serve as tranquil oases, where contemporary details such as refined chromatic contrasts stand out. The dominance of white contrasts with larch wood and serene yet vibrant shades of green, creating a refined and peaceful atmosphere.
