About YCL Studio

Maximizing Space in a Compact Vilnius Apartment

In Vilnius, a modest 560 square foot (52 square meter) apartment undergoes a transformation. The redesign starts with the once dark, deep corridor. Now, soft corners open up the space, seamlessly leading from the entrance to the main living area. This approach not only enhances the flow but also makes the apartment feel more spacious.

Bright and Airy Interiors

The main living space, bedroom, and bathroom are uniformly bright and white, creating an aura of openness. In contrast, the kitchen area features darker autumnal shades, neatly framing the main living areas. This color scheme establishes a clean, contrasting interior, functionally and aesthetically uniting the spaces. Moreover, a large mirror in the hallway cleverly creates an illusion of a larger space, doubling the apartment visually.

Functional Elegance in Design Details

The bathroom’s light marble tiles lend a bright and luxurious touch to the compact space. In the main area, a distinct line separates the kitchen from the living room, with a table strategically placed on this divide. The kitchen counter, made of Corian, resembles a sculptural element against the darker kitchen backdrop. The color scheme is meticulously coordinated across walls, furniture, and doors, maintaining a continuous and harmonious palette. The bedroom, an oasis of white, maintains a cozy and bright atmosphere, enhancing the dream-like quality. Soft corners throughout the apartment not only create a sense of additional space but also facilitate comfortable movement in this snug environment.
