About K House

Discovering K House: Sri Lanka’s Beachfront Gem

Nestled in southern Sri Lanka, K House offers an exclusive beachfront experience, set against lush greenery and stunning ocean vistas.

Architectural Symmetry Amidst Nature

This luxurious villa resort boasts two distinct buildings. The east house, perched atop a hill, faces the sea directly. Conversely, the west house provides a cozier, sheltered ambiance. Together, they form an L-shape, perfectly enclosing the garden and central pool area. The barn-like design harmoniously merges with the natural surroundings, enhancing the view towards the sea.

A Tapestry of Natural Materials

Local teak wood, polished terrazzo, and cement facades define the architecture. Outdoor spaces feature local granite stone. Complementing the organic aesthetic, a recycled terracotta tile roof crowns the property.

Blurring the Lines between Indoors and Outdoors

The balmy Sri Lankan climate allows for a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. Elevated platforms differentiate living areas. Large sliding doors connect key interiors with the garden, while wooden shutters replace traditional glazed openings. Expansive roofs shield these blended spaces, ensuring comfort amidst nature’s embrace.

Spaces Crafted for Comfort and Privacy

The east house’s common areas exude openness. In contrast, the west house’s living and dining spaces offer a more intimate setting. All rooms prioritize privacy, boasting minimalist interiors for peaceful retreats. Select bathrooms even open to private courtyards, allowing guests to shower amidst nature.

Bespoke Furnishings Meet Local Craftsmanship

Custom furniture, such as the inbuilt lounge sofa and multifunctional headboards, add a modern touch. Paired with locally sourced antique pieces, the interiors achieve a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional, exuding both comfort and cultural authenticity.
