About Prefabricated Country Home

Innovative Prefabricated Modular Design

The house features five custom prefabricated modules, each approximately fifty feet long, assembled prior to delivery to the site. This concept enables indoor construction under optimal working conditions.

Precise Architectural Planning

The architect crafted a unique modular design according to precise plans. Insulation, windows, and flooring were all assembled before shipping. Transporting the massive modules posed a significant challenge, involving thorough preparation, coordination, and navigating country roads with ninety-degree turns in harsh weather conditions.

Efficient Construction Timeline

Construction commenced in late summer, before demolishing the existing house, ensuring a faster process and allowing the family to enjoy the countryside without missing more than one season.

Embracing Sustainability and Low Environmental Impact

Envisioned with an extremely low environmental footprint, the house incorporates sustainable and local materials. Large windows showcase nature’s beauty and fill the interior with light, reducing heating and lighting expenses. The natural-colored outdoor facade effortlessly blends with the woodland setting, while opaque black accents provide an artistic touch. Warm, welcoming wood graces the indoor spaces. The architect is currently seeking LEED Gold certification for the home.

Catering to Individual Needs and Shared Spaces

The house’s interior caters to each family member’s personal space. The open-concept ground floor features a spacious kitchen and dining area for cooking and sharing delightful meals, a cozy living room, and a three-season screened-in porch enveloped by the lake and woods.

Additionally, the ground floor houses an atelier for painting and carpentry. The lowered lakeside deck was thoughtfully designed to preserve the stunning view of the surrounding landscape.
