Paju ‘Mokha(木下)’ Showcases Traditional Contemporary Design Harmony
Located in Paju-si, South Korea, the Paju ‘Mokha(木下)’ house designed by UTAA showcases an avant-garde exterior that harmonizes modern and traditional design elements. Notable for its inviting courtyard, cubical forms, and wooden overhang, this dwelling has a spacious interior prioritizing natural illumination. The seamless flow between chic dining and kitchen areas, along with a cozy living space, creates a tranquil atmosphere enhanced by expansive windows and tailored design details.

A welcoming experience
Upon entering the home, you are greeted by a spacious, open design that prioritizes natural light. The first room includes an elegant dining room that flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen. The clean lines and understated furniture create a calm atmosphere. The large windows and sliding glass doors create a sense of connection with the outdoors and are ideal for socializing.

The living room next to the kitchen continues the fluid aesthetic. High ceilings and a comfortable sofa invite relaxation. Strategically placed shelving combines practicality with visual appeal and provides plenty of space for books and decorative items. In addition, the skylight enhances the area, allowing sunlight to move through the room in an entertaining way.

A journey through intimate spaces
As you walk up the stairs, the light and airy design unfolds even more. A cozy reading corner with large windows offers a peaceful escape, while minimalist bookshelves display precious volumes. The design encourages a simple, light lifestyle that provides comfort and inspiration.

The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every room. Elements such as soft wooden floors and cool white walls reinforce the peaceful essence of the home. Each room presents a balanced combination of modern living and natural warmth, creating an oasis that combines sophistication and functionality.

Paju “Mokha(木下)” is not just a home, it is also a symbol of exceptional design and conscious living. This remarkable project is a tribute to the overall vision of the UTAA designer, making it a must-see for architecture enthusiasts around the world.
