Living the Dream Features Organised and Calming Living Environment

Halel Arch carried out minimal structural changes and maximum attention to detail in the renovation of an apartment in Giv’at Shemu’el, Israel. Designed in 2025, the Living the Dream project was completed for a couple in their 50s and their children, aiming to create an organised and calming living environment. Despite debates about moving, the clients chose to remain in their beloved community after the design team’s upgrade met their needs.

A soothing living environment

In the vibrant neighborhood of Giv’at Shemu’el in Israel, an apartment is more than just a residence; it is a testament to careful planning. A couple in their 50s, who had spent a decade in their beloved home, longed for an environment that suited their unique desires. Despite its merits, it lacked an intimate atmosphere, the warmth of belonging. This is where Halel Arquitetura e Design de Interiores comes in, a company known for its precision and dedication.

Structural changes

Led by architect Shira Muskal, the talented team at Halel Arch approached the project with a relentless commitment to fine-tuning every detail, with the goal of making minimal structural changes that would have maximum impact on comfort and organization. This approach was crucial, as the existing configuration of the apartment seemed to contradict the clients’ need for comfort and belonging – a universal yearning for a home that feels like a sanctuary.

Beloved home

The couple, who had only made minor changes when they moved in, carefully maintained their home over the years. Nevertheless, they often found themselves at a crossroads: should they leave this beloved space to look for a more suitable apartment, or even consider moving to a private home? Despite these considerations, the community they enjoyed influenced their decision to stay.

Personal touch

With a deep understanding of his clients’ lifestyle and preferences, Muskal created a solution that met all requirements without compromising the value of the property. Her meticulous work transformed the apartment into something that is much more than just a living space – it became her personal retreat, completely in line with her identity and preferences.

The attention to detail shown by Muskal and his team illustrates the importance of bespoke design solutions in maximizing the potential of existing spaces. The result at Giv’at Shemu’el is an example of how careful customization, informed by client intimacy and community considerations, can redefine and enhance the quality and functionality of even familiar environments.
