House in Taupo prioritizes Passive House standard
First Light designed Jetty House taking into account the rigors of the Passive House standard, despite not being certified. This approach ensures a consistently warm, comfortable and healthy environment, ideal for New Zealand’s demanding climate.

The house, known as “The Jetty”, provides a visual and physical connection from the front door to Lake Taupō. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in a layout of 178 square meters (1,916 square feet).

Residents enter through the front door, down the “Jetty” to reach a spacious living room. This space steps down the hillside, opening up to panoramic views of Lake Taupō and the Kinloch region.

The first light integrates outdoor spaces
In addition to its interior charm, the house carefully integrates outdoor living into its design. The house offers a variety of spaces during the day and night for residents to seek refuge from the sun or enjoy the lake breeze.

With a harmonious blend of performance and pleasure, the house aims to be the ultimate destination for a memorable getaway. The combination of comfort, stunning views and thoughtful design guarantees a unique living experience, whatever the season.
