Casa LM by Studio Arthur Casas
Casa LM is a house located in Eldorado do Sul, Brazil. Designed in 2022 by Studio Arthur Casas, this residence features a materiality that combines wood and concrete, ensuring abundant natural illumination and strong ventilation. Distinct areas within the house are marked by a central staircase and spaces for leisure, games, and sauna are incorporated at the upper level.

Connection With External Landscape
On the banks of the Guaíba canal, in Rio Grande do Sul, this residence – designed for a couple with three young children – has a full connection with the external landscape, ensuring plenty of natural ventilation and lighting and highlighting the power of the materiality of which the house is made up. Wood and concrete interact harmoniously, alternating their roles as you enter the interior; wood is present on the floor, ceiling or walls, as is concrete, creating a dynamic and interesting circulation.

Division And Configuration of Spaces
In addition to providing this configuration, the materials also delimit the program: the intimate areas are located in the exposed concrete module, while the social and service areas are in the wood-clad module. These areas are divided by a central staircase, which features prominently on the façade.

Ample Terrain and Upper Level
The ample terrain allowed most of the rooms to be arranged on the first floor, integrated with the pool and canal and protected by landscaping. On the upper floor, leisure and wellness areas such as a sauna and games room were accommodated.

Contemporary Design Modern Pieces
The lighting in the entrance hall is noteworthy, as it is made through a slot in the monolithic concrete floor, which received LEDs to highlight the wooden panel. The interiors feature contemporary design pieces such as the Fusca Sofa, the Amorfa Table and the Tiles Coffee Table by Arthur Casas.
