Light and Matter is a rehabilitated historic house located in Trani, Italy. Designed by Marco Tassiello, it is a house that emphasizes a fluid interior distribution, opening the spaces to natural light through the use of essential materials such as wood, lime plaster and stone.

Restoring History: The Outside of Light and Matter
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a well-planned vertical link comprising both an elevator and a staircase. Rich Trani stone and cozy wood contribute to a welcoming ambience at the doorway. This entrance not just highlights the building’s legacy but also establishes the vibe for the upcoming interior spaces.

A Contemporary Interior: Grooming Room and Dining Space
Inside, the culinary area attracts attention with a bold juxtaposition of dark marble and lavish wooden cupboards. The vast island, gracefully adorned with a black marble countertop, encourages culinary invention. Hanging lights elevate the lofty ceilings, while an arch of bricks provides warmth and texture.
