Situated on Coconut Island in Phuket, the Laku Beach Club fuses imaginative architecture with cultural homage. Created by Studio Locomotive in 2024, this establishment reinterprets the rhythmical spirit of the coastal communities of the Andaman Sea. The name “Laku,” in the indigenous Ulak Lawoi language, means “Rhythm of A Song,” symbolizing profound connections to the natural world and ancestral knowledge.
As visitors make their way to the beach club, they are greeted by an exterior that showcases natural materials and meticulous design. The building blends seamlessly with its tropical setting, embellished with lush vegetation and a tranquil swimming pool.
