Designed by BLANKPAGE Architects and finished in 2023, this house integrates two linked residences within one envelope, and skillfully weaves into the rugged terrain. The concept encapsulates a “balcony/belvedere” idea and flows smoothly to embrace the landscape.
SKYHAVEN Residence: An Elevated Oasis
Perched atop a breathtaking hill in Batroun, Lebanon, the SKYHAVEN Residence, crafted by BLANKPAGE Architects, showcases mesmerizing sights of a verdant valley and the glistening sea. Finished in 2023, this architectural wonder includes two linked residences—one for the client and another for his parents—skillfully woven into the rugged terrain.
The design encapsulates a “balcony/belvedere” idea, flowing smoothly to embrace the landscape. Upon approaching the residence, the entry platform greets guests with an infinity pool glittering under the sunlight. The edifice elegantly projects from the cliff through robust concrete corbels, lessening the impact on the environment. This conscientious strategy allows the residence to integrate seamlessly with its natural surroundings.
Flawless Interior Transitions
Entering the home, the foyer naturally leads into semi-open areas designed for familial gatherings. This space encourages a togetherness, linking the two residences. The interior reveals a succession of tastefully decorated living spaces. Each area is encased in glass, providing breathtaking views at every turn. Substantial aluminum openings glide wide, creating a fluid indoor-outdoor atmosphere that amplifies the feeling of floating above the valley.
