Echo Villa by Peny Hsieh Interiors

Echo Villa is a house located in Taiwan that uses earthy tones and curvilinear forms to emphasise the relationship between architecture and nature. The residence features a 9-meter-high entryway, flowing arcs and a black stone tub that becomes a still mountain pool. Designed by Peny Hsieh Interiors in 2025, the design concept is “Echo of the Earth,” which uses mountain forms and natural rhythms to blend the indoors and outdoors and elevate the daily experience of living art.

The Echo of Earth and Art in the Mountains

Nestled in the hillside landscape of Taiwan, Echo Villa follows the natural terrain, with window lines tracing the silhouette of the Snow Mountain Range, crafting a private dialogue with nature. The homeowners yearn for the rhythm of mountain living, seeing nature as a daily source of healing and spiritual nourishment.

A Concept Rooted In An Emotional Connection With Land

Rooted in this emotional connection with the land, the design concept—“Echo of the Earth”—uses the earth as canvas and mountain forms as rhythm. Architecture and interior dissolve into one another, transforming the space into a vessel for coexisting with nature.

Grounded In Earthy Sand Tones

The entire residence is grounded in earthy sand tones. The 9-meter-high entryway is adorned with a smoke-inspired pendant light that evokes drifting mountain mist. Organic curves drawn from the language of the land extend across the staircase, custom sofa, and poolside lounge, weaving a rhythmic flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Cool Overhead Features Crafted For The Living Room Guide Guests

The living and dining areas are guided by hand-sketched arcs that flow toward a rippling water-inspired chandelier above the dining table—resembling light shimmering across a pond. The master bedroom layers warm materials and soft lighting to create a serene, secretive retreat reminiscent of a mountainside hideaway. In the main bathroom, dual curved lines shape both wall and counter, echoing the textures of a canyon landscape. A black stone tub sits quietly at the center like a still mountain pool, a space for emotional stillness and restoration.

Living Art Infused With The Soul Of Over 20 European Artists

More than a residence, Echo Villa is also a curated home of living art. Over 20 European artists contributed custom-designed furniture and objects, infusing the home with soul. Art and function are interwoven into the rhythm of daily life, forming a quiet resonance with the owner’s personal philosophy.
