Located in Beykoz, Istanbul, the Mona94 project takes its name from the fact that 94 percent of its site is covered by forest. This strong connection to the natural surroundings played a defining role not only in the overall project but also in the design of the 3+1 show flat, designed by Gönye Design with the concept of balance in mind.
Balancing Nature and Design at Mona94

Mock-Up for Versatility
The 3+1 flat was developed as a mock-up for all unit types within the project. This allowed for all materials and construction details to be tested and technically evaluated in advance. It also served as a reference during the presentation phase for potential buyers.
Creating An Impressive Atmosphere
Throughout the design process, the concept of balance guided every decision. The goal was to create an interior atmosphere that feels simple yet impressive. The space was designed to be elegant and composed without excess. All design elements, including material selection, spatial layout, lighting, and decorative choices, were shaped by this approach.
Natural Elements in Design
Natural and warm tones were selected for the interiors. These colors combined with textured surfaces to create a calm and harmonious atmosphere. Modern lines were integrated with timeless details, giving the space both tranquility and character.

Functionality and user comfort were considered as key priorities. The relationship between living spaces and natural light, the openness of circulation areas, and the fluid transitions between rooms were all carefully addressed to enhance the overall user experience.

Material choices were made based on criteria such as suitability for mass production, budget compatibility, user appeal, and both aesthetic and technical harmony with other elements. Durability was also an essential consideration. Every selected material contributed to the long-term performance and overall coherence of the design.
