Chilean studio Juan Carlos Sabbagh Arquitectos completed a glass house situated in a deciduous forest in Curicó, Chile. Designed in 2023, the project, dubbed Greenhouse, features wooden construction and was intended to immerse occupants in the surrounding environment.
The White Rock house by Omar Gandhi Architects takes cues from camouflaged duck blinds and hunting cabins, perching above a steep, rocky incline in Nova Scotia, Canada, surrounded by farmland. The distinctively shaped observation structure features corten steel cladding and provides panoramic views of the Gaspereau River Valley.
Inside, smoked oak panels line the minimal interiors designed for rejuvenation, with carefully placed windows and Belgium linens creating a tranquil, blended relationship with the lush, forested surroundings.
Designed by Estúdio AMATAM, the Quinta do Desembargador House is situated in the suburban landscape of Almada, Portugal. Completed in 2023, this building maximises the potential of its compact lot with a strategic layout and adaptable features. The design includes a double-height living room, openings for natural light, and the potential for future expansion.
