Set within a dense pinewood landscape in Sintra, Portugal, the Pinewood Villa refresh was led by João Tiago Aguiar in 2025. The refurbishment aimed to cultivate a deeper relationship with nature and light while employing a design style characterized by clarity, restraint, and timelessness. The architecture and interiors reflect a project philosophy that aspires to be grounded in quiet architecture, where the precision of each gesture builds a lasting relationship between space, use, and context.

i29 designed the Senior Shelter, a 100 m² (1,076 sq ft) house, in the Netherlands. This single-level abode integrates architecture and interior design into a harmonious space for multigenerational living. In the heart of Orvieto stands the new boutique hotel Palazzo Petrvs, born from a restoration project by architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva of a building constructed in 1475 for the wealthy notary Petrus Facienus and long abandoned. Secco Sistemi painted galvanized steel windows and doors offer performance in line with the comfort and well-being requirements of a high-end accommodation facility.

In the heart of Kraków, Butterfly Studio has designed a bold apartment for a creative couple. Inspired by modern art and movie aesthetics, the 80-square-meter interior incorporates pastel shades, terrazzo tiles and abundant custom details. This intense, functional space is infused with unexpected yet cozy elements, perfectly reflecting the owners’ love for vibrant yet thought-provoking arrangements.

The Luna House, designed by Nommo Arquitetos and located in Curitiba, Brazil, was completed in 2024. Nestled within the untouched Atlantic Forest landscape, the house reflects the light around it, contrasting subtly with the surrounding nature.

Forgetting Time House, located in Singapore and designed by Wallflower Architecture + Design, is a refreshing example of biophilic home design, inspired by the idea of creating a retreat amidst nature in a tropical environment. Completed in 2022, the house juxtaposes indoor and outdoor spaces, employing a combination of full-height glass doors and a restrained material palette to offer ease of movement and to conjure thoughts of escapism.
