The designer took zakka culture–which began as a contemporary design fad, but has since evolved into an art and design style known for its handmade and pre-industrial aesthetic–as the main theme of the interior design. Quan created a home office environment that suits both the owner’s living needs and work needs, as a vlogger.

A tribute to racing legend Eliška Junková influenced its design, incorporating modernism, futurism, and functionalism.

Garden Retreat by David Flynn Architects extends a 1970s bungalow in Blackrock, County Dublin, Ireland, into its surrounding garden. Designed in 2021, the project enhances the home’s connection with nature by adding glazed sliders and rooflights to the rear and features to the front such as external insulation and a timber porch, allowing for a more open interior and increased access to the garden spaces.
