While the owner’s primary focus was bringing up to date the apartment’s infrastructure, the architects aimed to create an aesthetic result that would seem effortless and seamless, as if the shell has never been touched.

Located in Avola, Italy, Patio House is a house designed by SOLUM Studio in 2024. The project develops longitudinally, from the access road to the sea, with the living area opening toward the seascape. The villa structure generates five independent rooms and a living area facing the sea, while patios filter natural light and ensure privacy in the more intimate areas.
