Metropolis, a Lima-based design studio has designed an amazing property located on Palabritas Beach, Lima, Peru.

The House in Ovar, Portugal by architect Paula Santos, is a stunning monolithic concrete structure featuring a beautiful indoor swimming pool and an inspiring painter’s studio.

This house is situated in Vale do Lobo, a luxury golf and beach resort in Southern Portugal. 6,450 square foot residence with incredible cantilevered infinity swimming pool. The villa has been developed in a U shape around a central courtyard space helping to create a sense of scale and containment within the open surroundings. The main living spaces of the villa have been developed in an L shape. The villa is a continuous play of solids versus transparency, which ultimately create a very interesting play of light versus shadow.

The Ipês House by StudioMK27 is located in São Paulo, Brazil. This beautiful mansion features a breathtaking pool in the backyard, and the building was built using exposed concrete.

Riverview Gardens Residence designed by Bercy Chen Studio is a series of three identical houses located in Austin, Texas, one block north of Lake Austin. The homes were inspired by Hamilton pool, a deep natural escarpment which forms a dramatic waterfall near Austin.

Earlcrown undertook the complete refurbishment of an elegant Grade II listed Mayfair townhouse including a link into an adjoining property to create a spacious and luxurious London residence with an abundance of lateral living space. Set out over 6 floors, the new 9,000 sqft (836 sqm) property includes a luxurious basement swimming pool and spa complex, substantial reception rooms and a palatial master bedroom suite, which occupies the entire second floor and spreads across into the adjoining merged property.

A curved retaining wall follows the contours of the hillside and anchors the house to the steep site. The house is tucked under the living roof, which visually merges the house with the land. Growing out of the hillside, the roof is carved away to form a protected courtyard for the pool. Three volumes housing the living room, kitchen-dining area, and master bedroom rise up above the living roof with shed roofs angled to capture the sun for photovoltaic and solar hot water panels. The house incorporates passive and active heating and cooling systems, battery storage, and a cistern for water runoff management.
