Warm Embrace is an apartment in Melbourne, Australia, designed in 2024 by the Stylesmiths. David Puckering created a vibrant, sophisticated space by eliminating neutral tones and incorporating 1970s-inspired elements. Earthy greens, brushed brass, and walnut veneers are highlighted in features such as the fireplace and the cleverly concealed butler’s pantry. The open-plan living area exudes warmth and character, echoing Alistair Knox’s architectural philosophy.

Villa LO, a house in Aalter, Belgium, was designed by JUMA architects in 2024. The clients requested a charming design, resulting in a classic gable roof and traditional materials like solid oak beams and burgundy tiles. The volumes are interconnected in a minimalist way, offering a contemporary take on a classic theme. The interior features smoked oak furniture, rounded details, and Travertine floors that extend outside, creating a cohesive and inviting space.

The Alea Resort Hideaway, located in Bad Orb, Germany, is a hotel designed by Plajer + Franz in 2024. This sophisticated piece of architecture offers an innovative experience with an underground carpark, penthouses, a rooftop pool, and a spa with a gym. The interior features high-quality furnishings, including large-format tiles, french parquet flooring, and exposed concrete ceilings, creating a refined yet youthful ambience. Penthouses boast room heights up to five metres, with interiors clad in oak wood.

Costa Rican studio Salagnac Arquitectos designed the Perla Negra House in Puerto Carrillo by the sea to blend into the landscape of surrounding trees, or yayos, with its L-shaped layout, laminated wood details and black colouring. Created in 2023, the structure features piles to adapt to the sloping terrain and a layout that provides a smooth transition with the outdoors and integrated mimetic design elements.

Studio Zout Ontwerphuis has designed a contemporary and welcoming interior for Villa Rosmalen in the Netherlands, incorporating innovative materials from Ideal Work. This home features the classic exterior of a countryside cottage, but the interior radiates a modern, industrial vibe. Incorporating Microtopping and Purometallo products, Studio Zout Ontwerphuis ensured the interiors reflect a minimalistic aesthetic, balancing neutral tones with sleek metals.

Ajisai Hill House: Vividly Merging with Nature

The Ajisai Hill House, designed by the acclaimed idee architects Vietnam, is a stunning example of modern architecture seamlessly integrated with the natural landscape of Vietnam. Situated on a steep mountain slope, this house measures 1000m2 and has spectacular views of a golf course and Tam Dao mountain range.

The architect’s innovative solution divides the property into two parts so that the highest point contains an upper block for maximum natural lighting and ventilation, while the lower part includes a garage as well as other supportive spaces. The two parts are connected with a dedicated elevator and steel bridge.
