Located in Beijing, China, Folding Roof Courtyard is an information center designed by MAT Office. The project incorporates a folding roof, opening the building to its surroundings and creating a unique spatial experience in the ongoing redesign of a traditional northern farmhouse. The focus of the design is on the integration of local materials as well as the use of construction techniques familiar to local craftsmen, maintaining the power of the mountainous countryside.

Moring Flower Store by Modum Atelier

Moring Flower Store is located in the ground floor of an office building in Nanjing, China. The owner hopes that running this flower shop will mark the beginning of a new chapter in her life. The name “Morning” is derived from the English word “morning,” and we have taken the morning light as the starting point for our design. The atmosphere created by the morning light serves as the core concept of the space.

A certified art collector’s rarefied tastes informed STUDIO8‘s design of this Shanghai Puro apartment, featuring an inventive layout that prioritises artistic expression and openness. The property was revamped from a three-bedroom, two-living-room layout into a singular expansive abode that necessitates careful design to guide movement through the space, which is awash in exposure to the light afforded through the numerous windows and walk-throughs.

This duplex apartment in Shanghai, China, designed by STUDIO8八荒, spans 420 square metres (4,520 square feet). STUDIO8 aims to transform the owners’ way of living into timeless space design, crafting a spatial and clean environment where the owners can have their own space for different activities while also being able to spend quality time with family and friends.

Murka Hotel by Thinking Design

Murka Hotel is a newly designed hotel completed by Thinking Design in Wenzhou, China. Part of a rural revitalization initiative, the project aims to entice urban citizens to the countryside and encourage young locals to return home.

The design incorporates staggered blocks, local rocks, and trees penetrating through the roof to create a visually cohesive extension that blends with the mountains and honors traditional culture.
