Casa EME is an apartment renovation in Madrid, Spain, by Gon Architects. Designed in 2025, the project reworks a 108 m² apartment in the city’s historic core by preserving its existing wood floor and resetting the plan around daily life. Rooms are reassigned rather than erased, giving the home a clearer order while keeping its material memory in place.
Contemporary Classic transforms a 200 sqm (2,153 sq ft) apartment in Monza, Italy, under the direction of designer Anna Arpa. Within a historic envelope, she reshapes the domestic layout into a fluid sequence of rooms that balances ornate ceilings and contemporary custom work. The apartment now reads as a generous family home, tuned to daily life yet grounded in Milan-area craft and a calm, layered material palette.
In Milan, Italy, a 1930s apartment has been updated by Milanese practice Studio Arkevo. Completed in 2024, the renovations feature color-soaked ceilings and contemporary elements to infuse it with character and create an intriguing backdrop for art. White walls provide the perfect canvas for the young couple’s collection of sculptures and prints. Molded ceilings and wooden frames around windows were maintained, adding warmth and tactility to the space.
