Architect’s Loft by Senkyr Architekti Embraces Minimalist Design

Czech studio Senkyr Architekti has completed the Architect’s Loft in Prague, a residential conversion of an abandoned attic space. Working with limited resources, the architect focused on exposing the original historical elements like the chimney and wooden beams.

With a ceiling height of five meters, the 75-square-meter apartment features understated built-in furniture, including a glass partition and concealed storage, highlighting the old house’s historical features.

Loft & Studio for Marcel by MH.AP transforms an abandoned basement storage space in Barcelona into a versatile living area. Designed around two patios, the project features exposed Catalan vaults and thick old concrete walls for thermal comfort.

A custom-made plywood kitchen, oak flooring, and carefully placed outdoor elements enhance the open-plan interior, utilising natural light and vintage tiles for a bright, airy atmosphere.

The House With Two Ridges near Warsaw, designed by Z3Z Architekci, features an unusual shape dictated by the plot’s specific conditions and local development requirements. The architects solved a design challenge by incorporating two roof ridges to accommodate a home exceeding 200 square meters.

The interior showcases a cool loft aesthetic, balanced with warmed materials such as wood and brick, while the ceiling is left raw concrete to enhance the space. The house also offers views of protected, scenic ponds and a river valley.

Skull Studio designed the Vanguard loft in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2023. This innovative space harmoniously blends industrial architecture with early 20th-century modernism. The open-plan layout includes a central living area, flexible movable walls, and an elevated gallery. A tribute to racing legend Eliška Junková influenced its design, incorporating modernism, futurism, and functionalism.

October Design Studio has unveiled the two-level A.T. Apartment in Vilnius, Lithuania, featuring a modern aesthetic with industrial accents. Designed in 2023, the loft apartment offers a unique spatial layout. Exposed wiring, ship deck lights, a relief wall and chevron-patterned parquet flooring feature alongside abundant plants. This combination creates a space where contemporary design meets subtle industrial elements, resulting in a warm and balanced environment.

Situated in the East Village, the East Village Triplex features dark and light elements, custom woodwork, and panoramic views. Designed in 2024, the project creates a distinctive atmosphere combining public and private spaces. Future plans include a private roof garden above the penthouse, enhancing the unique urban living experience.
