In Valencia, Spain, the Marquis of Turia apartment underwent a 2024 renovation by fos Studio. Housed in a 1960 skyscraper, this 150-square-metre space embodies the International Style. The remodel exposed reinforced concrete pillars for a mid-century aesthetic, complemented by neutral tones. Key features include a versatile kitchen with oak-framed sliding doors, custom-designed wood paneling, and monocolor beige tones in the master bathroom, aiming for a spa-like serenity and well-being.

Previously designed in 1960s, the Dale St House is a family home located in Melbourne, Australia. Designed by Chan Architecture in 2024, the house balances mid-century heritage and modern touches with an updated material palette of natural marble, solid timber, and subtly textured stone tiles, made to blend expertly with the existing bluestone walls. The interior features a well-lit double-height space and a central kitchen with a striking 5.6-meter calacatta marble island.

Located in Treviso, Italy, Casa DB is a 2023 apartment renovation by studio RAUM. The design preserves the original 1930s structure’s high ceilings, stucco work, and doors while subtly adapting the layout for contemporary living. The renovation emphasizes color, with each room enveloped in carefully selected tones, and recreates historical flooring using modern materials. The result is a refined living space that balances past and present, honoring its roots while embracing modern needs.
