DIG Architects has completed the Vaulted Monochrome House in Mumbai’s central suburb. The 4300-square-foot (399-square-meter) apartment was designed with a minimalist approach to create a clutter-free and cozy space for a socially active family. Its architectural centerpiece is a vaulted ceiling, complemented by elements like a gabion wall and Ceppo-De-Gre stone.

The design, characterized by a monochromatic palette, seamlessly integrates social and private areas, with adjustments made to accommodate the family’s functional and aesthetic needs.

Atelier du Pont has renovated Estancia San José in Menorca, Spain, transforming an old ruin into a 300-square-metre summer residence with Minorcan influences. Featuring arched Iroko windows and stone facade, the house combines raw materials with vibrant elements like an acid yellow kitchen.

The organic forms and textured finishes throughout the interior pay homage to local craftsmanship, while the garden is a natural setting surrounded by garrigue and wild olive trees.

Designed in 2023, the apartment features uncovered structural elements and an exposed brick wall, complemented by neutral tones and colourful furnishings. The project preserves the original wooden floors while introducing new beige hexagonal and reddish-brown square tiles in wet areas.
