Laiva Plaza Hotel is a boutique hotel in the historic center of San José del Cabo, Mexico. Designed by RA!, it reads as an urban piece that folds public space into the pedestrian fabric while keeping the lodging experience close to the street.
TAEP/AAP has updated the traditional architecture of the Northern Gulf with a cylindrical house surrounded by towering walls in Al Khiran, Kuwait. Designed in 2023, White Fortress contrasts its arid surroundings with an interior filled with spacious rooms, views of the Gulf Sea, and various oval-shaped patios and gardens. A rooftop tower acts as a “seacoast lighthouse”, framing sandy vistas.
Casa Justina is a carefully crafted restoration of a historic residence in Guadalajara, Mexico. Designed by Dinamita Taller in 2023, the house combines architecture and interior design to revive the home’s rich heritage. Thoughtful materials like green stucco, clay, and traditional cement mosaics enhance the design and preserve the residence’s history, resulting in an inviting and cohesive space.
