Wood House is a secluded architectural retreat nestled in the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley. Crafted by MJARC Architects in 2025, this modular wooden residence embodies a strong commitment to the principles of green architecture. From the outset, the project aimed to minimize its impact on the surrounding landscape. The wooden cladding and green roof ensure both aesthetic integration and ecological support, making Wood House a hallmark of sustainable living.
Perched on a dramatic promontory above the cliffs of Azóia, the AIP Azóia Villa house in Portugal features a design by João Tiago Aguiar, arquitectos. The house, which belongs to the same family for three generations, features a design that highlights Art Deco influences while incorporating elements from the 1930s, 1980s, and contemporary architecture, revealing its historical layers.
