Living, sleeping, and moving through the house all orbit an elevated terrace and pool that read as a single, continuous outlook.

Casa patio casa patio is a compact house in Valencia, Venezuela, reworked by Piano Piano Studio. The project keeps its rural backbone—two courtyards and a firm central axis—while resetting circulation and use on the ground level. A new vaulted stair reunites both floors, and two color-rich volumes calibrate storage and service. The work lands with measured restraint and bright pragmatism, tuned for breezes, daylight, and a social life that spills into the patios.

Valencia, Spain-based architect Pilar Martí has designed a house that fully restores its facade while recovering a courtyard that had been buried during its 14-year rundown, along with reinserting the building’s steeply pitched Spanish tile roof. Named House in Cabañal, the home showcases elements of Mediterranean living, featuring both an east-facing patio that serves a thermoregulator of the building, and a staircase containing volumetric and spatial games that form a nuclear element of the home.

In the heart of Valencia, Spain, Estudio Calma revitalised a dated 70s house into a contemporary sanctuary for modern family living. The 180m² project, designed in 2024, reimagines the home through refined materiality, prioritising oak wood and an elemental palette that transmits comfort and warmth.

The elegant transformation emphasises a seamless connection between the hall, living room, and open-plan kitchen, fostering a welcoming environment for socialisation and relaxation.

In Valencia, Spain, the Marquis of Turia apartment underwent a 2024 renovation by fos Studio. Housed in a 1960 skyscraper, this 150-square-metre space embodies the International Style. The remodel exposed reinforced concrete pillars for a mid-century aesthetic, complemented by neutral tones. Key features include a versatile kitchen with oak-framed sliding doors, custom-designed wood paneling, and monocolor beige tones in the master bathroom, aiming for a spa-like serenity and well-being.

This Destudio interior design in Valencia, Spain, centers around views over the old Turia riverbed. Ático Curvo features a glass facade, living room, kitchen and bedrooms that share the view, and further blur indoors and outdoors with a terrace replicating interior functions. A sculptural staircase uncovers construction details. This design also features a sloping roof, natural wood ceiling, soft-toned mortar walls, double-height ceiling, solarium, outdoor bath, open kitchen, black curved iron surfaces and natural wood.
