Unconventional Accommodation Design
Settimo Boutique Apartment, located in the heart of Palermo, Italy, is a project by La Leta Architettura that seeks to redefine the concept of tourist accommodation. The design contrasts with standardised stay experiences, offering a unique sense of exclusivity akin to a boutique hotel but following the principles of good design. The apartment is composed of three consecutive rooms, all connected to a terrace with a view.
Innovative Bedroom Layout
The bedroom, positioned in the attic, is the heart of the house and features a double zenithal light. Here, it was necessary to work in section to ensure proper space usage. Inside the room, a trapezoidal volume that follows the roof’s slope contains the bathroom. On one side is the washbasin area, with a custom piece in Carrara marble, while on the other, the lower side, there is a small open wardrobe.

The bed, suspended, flanks the new volume serving as the headboard while a freestanding bathtub is placed at its foot, perfectly aligned with the roof window.
Flowing Interior Spaces
Following the bedroom, there is an entrance/living room space and a custom-designed kitchen with retractable doors. From here, there is access to the terrace, paved with handmade tiles designed specifically for the space. Inside, through the insertion of mirrored surfaces, the space multiplies, creating a dynamic environment.
The dominant green color alternates with warm walnut tones, lending warmth and elegance to the surroundings, enhancing the unique experience of staying at Settimo Boutique Apartment.
