Designed by PONY Architects in 2020, Apartment SG-DP reduces elements to those that support interconnectedness between living areas. Design interventions engage fixed elements using pure geometry that reinforces connections between spaces by thoughtfully allowing natural and artificial light, views, noise, and groups of natural vegetation.
Introducing Apartment SG-DP: A Perfectly Balanced Environment
Set in the heart of Sofia, Bulgaria, Apartment SG-DP, crafted by PONY Architects in 2020, artfully marries leisure with professional activities. This pioneering space illustrates a contemporary perspective on the fading boundaries between private and public areas. The design simplifies elements, focusing on those that encourage connectivity and continuous flow, thereby enriching the residents’ living experience.
As we enter this welcoming dwelling, the exterior presents a harmonious atmosphere that is in sync with its natural environment, highlighted by expansive windows that usher in copious amounts of light. The infusion of outdoor vistas is a consistent motif throughout the entire project. The landscape, dotted with flourishing flora, provides aesthetic enjoyment that complements the architectural elements.
Socializing and Living Areas
Once inside, the open-concept living space welcomes you with a blend of coziness and refinement. The grand gray sectional begs for relaxation, while the geometric designs on the area rug anchor the room. Tastefully curated bookshelves frame the space, honoring a passion for literature.
Natural light pours into the room through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The dance of light and shade enhances the architectural features, crafting a serene atmosphere. Navigating through the arched entrance, we stumble upon a smartly curated nook that encourages solitary moments. This snug corner showcases a hanging mesh seat, ideal for reading or introspection. It stands as an example of how Apartment SG-DP promotes an essence of interconnectivity.
