House G unfolds as a generous private house on an 800 square meter (8,611 square foot) footprint in Istanbul, Turkey, shaped by ACARARCH. Set within a 2,000 square meter (21,528 square foot) garden, the four-level residence turns a busy urban address into a quiet world of warm materials, tailored rooms, and long views to greenery. Light, height, and a calm palette guide the whole composition.
Morning light pours through tall mullioned windows, sliding across pale walls and curved seating before dissolving into the garden beyond. A quiet hush settles over the double-height living room as the city hums outside its boundaries.
This is a four-level urban house in Istanbul by ACARARCH, planned as a contemporary residence where interior calm balances metropolitan energy. The 800 square meter (8,611 square foot) home sits on a 2,000 square meter (21,528 square foot) site, granting rare depth for landscape and layered rooms. Interior palette and furnishing decisions steer every move, from the generous living areas down to the smallest study niche.
Living Rooms In Warm Light
The main living volume rises through two stories, wrapped in soft plaster walls and anchored by a sweeping circular sofa in sand-colored upholstery. A sculptural black coffee table centers the arrangement, its low profile keeping sightlines open toward the garden lawn outside. Above, a delicate constellation of pendant lights hangs within the lofty void, adding a vertical counterpoint to the gentle curves below. Sunlight traces long diagonals across the pale rug and timber floor, turning the room into a generous social stage by day.
Intimate Corners And Art
Just beyond the main seating area, a quieter corner gathers two dark timber armchairs around a small side table, set against open shelving filled with books and ceramics. Artwork leans and hangs casually, softening the architecture and lending the room a lived-in cadence. Nearby, another lounge zone clusters low, plush chairs around a sculpted bronze-toned table in front of a linear fireplace.
