Módulo Hábitat by Meii Estudio
Módulo Hábitat is an apartment in Cartagena, Spain, by Meii Estudio, set above the Muralla del Mar near the port. The project draws on the logic of habitat modules, using a compact core to concentrate the essentials and opening around it with warmer, more grounded materials.

About Módulo Hábitat
Space exploration leaves behind more than scientific advances: it also offers a model for making habitable areas efficient. Habitat modules are integral to spacecraft, functioning as compact, autonomous units that hold the basic necessities for life in space.
Now, the Habitat Module lands in front of the port of Cartagena, atop a structure perched on the Muralla del Mar. It occupies the site and equips it with the essential services needed to turn it into a comfortable, functional home.
The project explores the contrast between a highly compact, technologically advanced core and its immediate surroundings. The module relies on advanced construction techniques, while the surrounding area brings warmth and a sense of grounding through natural textures and organic forms.
