Carlo Donati Studio has renovated a 350-square-metre apartment, called Time Capsule, located in Milan’s Brera district. Completed in 2022, the design incorporates elements inspired by figures such as Jean Prouvé and references the aesthetic codes of postwar Milan. The interiors feature a mix of materials, geometric shapes, and art pieces, including a graffiti by British artist Stik, emphasising a richly layered, unconventional residential space.

Ignazio Mortellaro has transformed a 300-year-old Sicilian farmhouse into a sustainable, energy-efficient retreat called Casa Balat. Located in Noto, Italy, the project seamlessly integrates traditional materials with state-of-the-art green technology, like a geothermal system for air conditioning and water heating.

Casa Balat features an open-air shala for yoga, a saltwater pool, gardens, and a Bulthaup kitchen, all designed to minimize carbon footprint while providing luxurious and sustainable agriturismo accommodations.

Architect’s Loft by Senkyr Architekti Embraces Minimalist Design

Czech studio Senkyr Architekti has completed the Architect’s Loft in Prague, a residential conversion of an abandoned attic space. Working with limited resources, the architect focused on exposing the original historical elements like the chimney and wooden beams.

With a ceiling height of five meters, the 75-square-meter apartment features understated built-in furniture, including a glass partition and concealed storage, highlighting the old house’s historical features.

Joshi House is a single-family home in Bengaluru, India, designed by Anahata in 2023. The design balances art and architecture, creating personalized spaces while maintaining common areas for togetherness. The house features geometric volumes, with a cantilevering circular balcony as a standout element.

The interior mirrors this circular volume, enhancing flow and cohesion. Clean lines, natural light, and brass elements characterize the decor, blurring boundaries between personal reflection and shared experiences.

The Gold Moon Residence by SENKYR Architekti in Lipno nad Vltavou, Czech Republic, beautifully marries art with the picturesque surroundings of the Lipno Reservoir. Designed in 2023, the apartment’s interiors draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the Šumava region.

Handcrafted golden lights and smoky veneer details add warmth, while unique stone and glass elements highlight craftsmanship and individuality, creating an atmosphere that seamlessly integrates family living with art and nature.

The Silvia & Diego apartment, designed by MH.AP in 2023, is located in Barcelona’s Eixample district. This renovation transformed a once-segmented space into an open, interconnected living area. By integrating the kitchen centrally and removing walls, MH.AP optimized circulation and increased natural light. The design respects the flat’s original fan-shaped layout, ornate ceiling, and Nolla mosaic floor tiles, using bold colors and geometric shapes to create a harmonious dialogue between past and present.
