The Longwood ADU exemplifies innovative residential design, merging functionality with aesthetic allure. Designed by Patrick TIGHE Architecture, the dwelling reimagines urban living in Los Angeles, CA, with a distinctive open plan, soaring cedar-clad ceilings, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions. The 1,200 sq ft space features polished concrete floors and a sliding glass wall, creating a harmonious link to the surrounding environment and offering a tranquil retreat from city life.

A wide central corridor pairs with nature-inspired artworks made with grating illumination technology in this Taipei apartment, creating two traffic flows that assemble art of illumination. Designed by Chains Interior, Light in the Wilderness was conceived for a vast space occupied by a couple and their four children, so privacy and entertainment were both prioritised within the area’s structure.

The contemporary design, characterised by black cladding and a pitched zinc roof, reflects the architecture of historic local farm buildings. Prioritising natural vistas, Weald House incorporates large windows and a refined material palette, connecting interior spaces with the outdoors and optimising energy efficiency.
