Great Barrier House by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects

Great Barrier House by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects

The Great Barries house by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects is nestled in a beautifully private setting surrounded with large Puriri trees, Blackwoods and other natives. The building form is elevated for flood protection, and acknowledges the hill to the west, lifting towards it’s elevation. The living zone opens completely to this setting, and the timber exoskeleton references the surrounding trees. The bedrooms all have protected outdoor space, being closely located to the trees for increased privacy. The house is located to protect the existing vegetation and to make the most of the sun and the native bird life on the property.

Coco Republic Interior Design: The Royal Penthouse II

Coco Republic Interior Design: The Royal Penthouse II

Amazing three bedroom penthouse located right on Newcastle Beach was redesigned by Coco Republic. It needed a comprehensive interior fit out that was luxurious, coastal and complementary to the streamline architecture of the building. Over a 5 month period the Penthouse was transformed into its current state. Soft natural materials of timber, stone, washed linens and jute combined to achieve a light, soft palette that offers easy living, whilst referencing the coastal environment beyond in a harmonious way.

Interesting Mirador House by 2.8x Architects

Interesting Mirador House by 2.8x Architects

You may find amazing architecture anywhere you go. What about Lima, Peru? In Lima 2.8x Architects designed a simple, but modern piece of architecture called the Mirador House. The project consists of two volumes that contrast each other. A fully transparent volume predominantly glass and metal houses the social housing area allowing a clear view over the city. A second volume contains the most secretive private area of the house. The stone and concrete help to create the counterpart and to demonstrate how the building sits on the hill in a firm transparent allowing the volume to feel like a free-floating element in a more heavy and rocky. The Amazing Ciel de Paris Restaurant

The Amazing Ciel de Paris Restaurant

Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance has designed a soft and profound amber bubble of light on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower: the new Ciel de Paris restaurant interior design and furniture. From the bay windows to the central bar, depending on the aura of the mirrors, the skilled composition of the sombre reflections strengthens and transforms perspectives. The view becomes space; space be-comes the view. The golden glints of the City of Light bounce off the sensual curves and materials. Paris is sparkling and all of a sudden the tower is more desirable. This primarily touristic venue has become welcoming and ethereal, a pleasurable experience designed for everyone.
