Located in Nova Lima, Brazil, Casa de Linho is a house designed in 2024 by TETRO Arquitetura. It tells the story of a fashion designer through architecture, as the curved concrete roof evokes stretched fabric. Beneath the roof, the home’s social areas reflect a dynamic lifestyle, while the contrasting slate facade at ground level provides a solid base for the lighter upper volume.
Located in Salvador, Brazil, VB Apartment spans 255 square meters. Designed by FRS Arquitetura, the space prioritizes expansive ocean views and generous daylight. The project features a minimal partition design and integrates natural materials, including Nogueira wood and limestone, elevating the apartment’s atmosphere. Signature modernist furniture pieces stand out against layers of personal items and art curation, promoting a strong connection to this unique space.
This address was designed to be a home in a gated community occupied mainly by leisure refuges, in the interior of São Paulo. The house sits on the contour lines of the plot like a pair of wings. Passarelli Arquitetos balanced a horizontal and intriguing project where straight lines predominate. While blending into the landscape, the house maintains its intimacy by means of its architectural features like its wide eaves, pergolas, and others.
Located in Paris, France, Apartment S is a sleek 93-square-metre (1,001-square-foot) flat with a minimalist design that reflects natural light across the space. Completed in 2018 by French studio Heros Architecture, the apartment features three main furniture pieces that create and organise the layout, which further highlights the space’s clean aesthetic.
Casa El Pastizal is a house located in Machachi, Ecuador. Designed in 2022 by Diez+Muller, the project creates living spaces that are installed in the landscape, achieving a light and fluid spatial threshold that contrasts with the built mass of concrete. A materiality and construction system is chosen that allows the desired plasticity and versatility, that can contain the soil and adapt to the existing topography.
The house, located in Bengaluru, India, is designed by Kamat & Rozario Architecture. Envisaged as a large concrete tray placed in relation to the sun’s movement, the residence opens itself up to a more climatically pleasant aspect in the form of an open court, serving as the heart and lung of the house.
