In Milan, Italy, a 1930s apartment has been updated by Milanese practice Studio Arkevo. Completed in 2024, the renovations feature color-soaked ceilings and contemporary elements to infuse it with character and create an intriguing backdrop for art. White walls provide the perfect canvas for the young couple’s collection of sculptures and prints. Molded ceilings and wooden frames around windows were maintained, adding warmth and tactility to the space.

Laura Ortín Arquitectura has decorated its own office, L’aura Ortin Office, in Murcia, Spain, with circular shapes and soft textures. Designed in 2025, the office is a geometric and sculptural room outlined by muted colors and tactile surfaces, featuring locally sourced materials including travertine and marble. Inside, a small green-hued reception area formed by resin walls provides visitors with seclusion and privacy before entering the open office, including a deep-green conference room and pink bathroom.

Named Apartment 28, the 38-square-meter apartment balances elegance and efficiency through thoughtful material choices and innovative solutions, including glass blocks and stainless steel accents. Soft curves and polished floors create a harmonious flow, while furniture in peach and blue tones adds warmth and personality. The design showcases the potential to make limited spaces feel expansive and inviting.

Fishermen’s House B-10 Reflects on Spanish Modernist History

Fishermen’s House B-10, designed by Marco de Gregorio in 2021, is an historic terraced house located in Spain. It’s part of a small settlement built for fishermen and their families in the late 1950s, designed by Spanish modernist architect José Antonio Coderch y de Sentmenat in an andalusian style.

The renovation preserves the original layout with a simplified design using simple and durable materials inside and out, retaining features like the whitewashed facades and red clay tiled roofs.
