The renovation, driven by a desire for natural light and space optimization, honors the building’s heritage while infusing sustainable and aesthetic elements. Once a dilapidated structure, Well now showcases the perfect blend of functionality and design, offering a unique living experience in the heart of the city.

Mortsel, Belgium, known for its vibrant culture and rich history, has just welcomed a new architectural gem. Benedictus, a brick house redesigned by Poot Architecture in 2022, stands as a breath of fresh air among the 1950s and 1960s monotonous homes.

Embracing the rare inspiration from bay windows, the design fuses neutral red brick with contemporary nuances. The heart of this home? A central oval staircase that seamlessly ties together versatile living spaces, while also reserving corners for peace and focus.

Designed by Filip Deslee, this contemporary apartment is situated in the Belgian city of Mortsel.
