About Plane Tree House
Effortless Transition to City Living
The journey from a spacious family residence to a chic inner-city townhouse unfolded seamlessly, thanks to a design that prioritizes modern efficiency. Nestled among a picturesque row of plane trees, this townhouse appears to levitate in the canopy, offering a serene escape from the bustling urban environment.
Art and Design Intersect
The client’s impressive collection of contemporary Australian art, shaped significantly over the years by Janne Faulkner, plays a pivotal role in our interior design philosophy. This art collection not only adds aesthetic value but also enhances the fluidity between living spaces, making entertaining a breeze. At the heart of this social hub, the Eileen Dining Table by B&B Italia comfortably accommodates 10 guests, while the Artemide Talo Pendant Light gracefully hovers above. The Vitra Softshell Dining Chairs invite guests to savor the client’s culinary delights for hours on end.
A Tranquil Winter Garden
After a day’s hustle, the clients find solace in the Winter Garden, immersed in the splendor of the towering Plane trees outside. The choice of B&B Italia Lazy Chairs reflects a laid-back yet stylish vibe, with upholstery hues that echo the springtime foliage. The room’s relaxed atmosphere is further enhanced by the sleek B&B Italia Eileen Console Table and the cozy Fat Fat Lady Fat Ottoman, complemented by the practicality and color of the Frank Side Tables.
Living Room: A Splash of Color and Elegance
The living room’s joinery introduces a vibrant color palette and a touch of elegance, inspiring the selection of sophisticated fabrics for the furniture. The Main Bedroom exudes timeless tranquility, featuring Dado Night Tables and a Chest of Drawers by B&B Italia, alongside exquisite bedlinen from Plane Tree Farm.
Welcoming Entrance
The entrance sets the tone with the Maxalto Pathos Console Table and the iconic Oluce Atollo Light, complemented by a Noel McKenna lithograph. The reflection in the Double Mirror by Gordon Mather subtly hints at the wonders that lie within, inviting visitors to explore further into this meticulously designed townhouse.
