About Small Size Apartment
Innovative Flexibility in Compact Living Spaces
This house, small in size, serves as a canvas for exploring flexibility and adaptability in modern homes. Limited demolitions break away from traditional corridor-house layouts, allowing free movement and circulation.
Transforming Space with Adaptive Design
An independent device transforms the living space, making it adaptable to changing needs. This open system can contract common areas and expand private ones as needed. The device features a small kitchen, storage compartments, and a colorful curtain. This ephemeral boundary creates private spaces when required.
The kitchen actively utilizes the house’s layout, offering short and long-term flexibility. It’s a minimal space, equipped with full-height storage.
Defining Spaces with Color and Pattern
Different colors and geometric patterns in the flooring delineate various house areas, highlighting the design intervention. This concept is part of a larger design reflection. It examines how the sharing economy affects city living, blurring public and private boundaries. This domestic device’s design serves as a prototype for potential application in other contexts.
