A florist and an engineer commissioned this home, beautifully located near bushland on the vast Swan River Basin. The design skillfully adapts the functional geometry of a European farm quadrangle to the Australian bush setting. In a creative twist, the fourth side of the quadrangle, typically for farm machinery, now features a row-planted picking garden by Realm Studios.
Architectural Elegance with Natural Views
Crafted from local limestone, the house boasts strong forms harmonizing with its surroundings. Inside, residents enjoy long sight lines and views framed by 300+ year-old paper bark trees. The interior design plays with light and shadow, casting abstract patterns of the West Australian bush across the walls.
