KINCANG Egrets Waves 3.0 Residence: Inspired by Nature’s Grace
Designed by LYCS Architecture, KINCANG Egrets Waves 3.0 Residence draws inspiration from the elegant movements of egrets. The use of silver and white metal aluminum panels and large floor-to-ceiling windows create a fresh, modern ambiance. The facade panels echo KINCANG’s light, rhythmic curves, exuding simple, pure, and elegant grace.
Harmonious Flow Between Interior and Exterior Spaces
The gentle curves extend from the exterior architecture into the residential interior, fostering harmony between vibrant living spaces and the free-flowing swimming pool.
A Vibrant Palette of Colors and Materials
Entering the first-floor living and dining room, a lively color palette unfolds, featuring dancing hues from vivid yellows to passionate reds. Flowing curves extend across walls, ceilings, and furniture, establishing an elegant, luxurious atmosphere. Large areas of dark wood paneling deftly divide the space, complemented by natural white stone, intriguing furniture, and soft furnishings that enrich the multi-layered visual experience.
An Open and Flowing Spatial Design
The double-height space spanning two levels dissolves barriers between floors, generating an open, flowing feel. Vertical dark wood paneling amplifies the sense of spatial extension and opens sightlines. People engaged in different activities intersect and overlap within the space, integrating the “villa feel” into the residential interior.
Spiraling Staircase and Light Reflections
The architecture’s flowing lines spiral upwards from the first floor, guiding the visual inertia from the horizontal plane to the vertical, enhancing spatial flow and fostering a dynamic, lively atmosphere. The metallic texture of the spiral staircase reflects light through diffuse reflection, casting a soft glow. The design separates the staircase into two parts and connects them with the same material handrails, removing the need for structural columns and sculpting unity for the overall space.
The Second Floor: Guest and Children’s Rooms with Expansive Views
The second floor houses guest and children’s rooms, surrounded by an L-shaped open-air terrace. From there, residents can overlook the hotel-style garden within the residential area and enjoy a distant view of Shaoxing’s misty, ancient city. Large floor-to-ceiling windows invite the landscape inside, while the children’s room boasts colorful yet balanced hues to meet their developmental needs.
A Three-Story Space Customized for the User
Ascending a few steps leads to a three-story space tailored for the user, featuring a living room, bedroom, dressing room, study, fitness area, bar, and rooftop swimming pool. Designed with the concept of fluid space, the area is organized around two “structural tubes” made of metal-framed glass, forming a circuitous path. The space is minimally divided to maintain fluidity and connectivity, allowing users to toggle between private and public modes using flexible, adjustable partitions based on their needs.
A Personalized and Modern Living Space
The bedroom and living room connect, creating an engaging visual relationship. The blue woven bed serves as a visual centerpiece, aligned with the glass box’s axis and proportionally balanced in the space. Dark wooden floors pair with light grey leather, emanating quality, while textures and colors merge to forge a highly personalized, modern living space.
Bathroom: A Dreamy Atmosphere with Blue Hues
The bathroom extends the residence’s predominant blue color scheme, employing Mediterranean blue and pearl white mosaic tiles on walls and floors to heighten the sense of depth. Custom-made from resin material, the sapphire blue double basin and bathtub boast a transparent texture that harmonizes with water, enveloping the space in a light, dreamy atmosphere.
The Bar Area: A Perfect Place to Relax and Socialize
The bar area offers an ideal spot for relaxation and mingling, with a blend of materials contributing to a delicate texture and rich visual effect. The marble bar counter breaks boundaries and extends to the starry sky terrace, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor spaces. Friends can chat and laugh on the patio or gather for a toast in the bar area, while the transparent interface fosters exciting interactions.
The Expansive Sky Terrace and Infinity-Edge Pool
Arriving at the approximately 75-square-meter (807-square-foot) Sky Terrace, the view becomes even more expansive. The terrace incorporates an infinity-edge pool, its sparkling blue waters dazzling beneath ever-changing skies. This space fosters circulation, offering users more possibilities for home experiences and allowing them to appreciate nature while coexisting with it.
