Primo Atelier designed the Palizzi 75 apartment in Napoli, Italy, to maximize its panoramic views of the gulf. Completed in 2024, the interior utilizes an open-plan layout with neutral tones and strategic furnishings to enhance the natural scenery.
Open plan design maximizes panoramic views
The Palizzi 75 apartment, designed by Primo Atelier, is strategically located in a privileged hilly area of Naples. This natural balcony offers breathtaking views over the city, which stretches from the Posillipo hill to Punta Campanella and centers on the island of Capri. Due to its position in the attic, the apartment is perfectly positioned to capture this stunning panorama.
In order to ensure a perfect connection with the Gulf views, the design prioritizes open-plan living. The 150-square-meter apartment has its core in the living room – an open space overlooking the Gulf. Here, each functional area, including a kitchen with island, table, sofa and fitted wall, is defined by a succession of furnishings. This design choice ensures that light enters the space, allowing the view to inhabit the room.

Innovative and uninterrupted design solutions
Three rooms overlook the living room: the entrance vestibule, the master bedroom and the hallway. By omitting clear separations, these areas also benefit from the view. Creative solutions, such as glass walls and windowed closets, allow users to extend their viewpoint, offering an uninterrupted perspective of the sea.
A particularly inventive design choice is the master bedroom, which Primo Atelier conceived as a glass box adjacent to the living room. This ensures that the occupants can admire the landscape even when reclining in bed, with the option of a linen curtain providing privacy when needed.
Meanwhile, the corridor has a dual function: guiding you to other areas of the apartment and providing light and the view from the living room. Even from the bathroom, located at the end of the corridor, you can catch a glimpse of the sea.

Neutral and warm tones evoke the sea
In an attempt to maximize the sea as a living part and as a project material, the designers used a color palette with neutral, warm, natural and Mediterranean tones. Sand-colored lime plaster adorns the walls, resin flooring adorns the living areas and the bedrooms boast dark brown parquet.
The fixed furniture is consistent in its materiality, featuring mainly walnut wood and Roman travertine. However, the furniture varies in color, creating a harmonious chromatic symphony. A standout piece is the glossy lacquered table in nude pink, designed specifically for this project.
Although the overall tone of the apartment seems neutral, it is far from being devoid of warmth and personality. Primo Atelier has skillfully managed to balance an interior design that has its own intrinsic soul, while allowing it to coexist harmoniously with the outside presence of the city and the sea.
The design language achieves a “quiet but eloquent” register, invoking a discreet elegance that embodies both independence and synergy with the captivating panoramic views.
