Villa Litomyšl II: A Family House Shaped by Light, Slope, and Garden
Villa Litomyšl II is a house in Czechia by Studio MA s.r.o., designed for family life on a gently sloping site. Completed in 2021, the modern home is arranged in an L-shaped plan that opens its main living areas to the garden, using roof overhangs, broad glazing, and a central stair to connect daily life across the house.

About Villa Litomyšl II
Set on a gently sloping plot that falls toward the southwest, Villa Litomyšl II is a modern family house organized around three main volumes: the ground floor, an oversized carport, and an extension. Roof overhangs tie these elements together, forming an L-shaped plan. That arrangement creates a practical layout and opens broad views toward the garden.
Light as the Basis of the Layout
Light and openness shape the south living wing, where a large living room connects directly to the kitchen. Expansive glazing links the interior to the outdoor terrace and frames views of the garden. On the opposite side, the north wing contains the outdoor carport and an adjoining garage. The west wing holds two bedrooms and a bathroom. A partial basement adds further possibilities for use.
Horizontal Movement and Context
A stair at the center of the house connects the basement and the upper floor. The first floor is used entirely for living, with three bedrooms and an additional bathroom. Throughout, the house is planned to stay closely connected to the surrounding garden and, visually, to the wider neighborhood, reinforcing its modern character.
