About Bedrock House

Discovering Bedrock House: A Fusion with Nature

Nestled in the sanctuary of nature, Bedrock House stands as a testament to its serene setting. It seamlessly absorbs the Mediterranean landscape, the undulating ground, and the expansive sea views into its design. Tucked within the woods, it becomes a junction where an oak forest, a stony garden, and a sprawling pool converge, all under the shade of towering palms.

Crafting Spatial Symmetry

Conceived from contrasts, Bedrock House carves out its niche beneath staggered roofs. It offers a dance between light and shadow, open and enclosed, personal and shared spaces. The structure extends gracefully, turning away from the northern wind while embracing the southern warmth. Between its defining walls lie all the home’s necessities, challenging conventional layouts. The house presents a duality: it’s composed of only walls, roofs, and paired interiors, constructed with recognized materials—concrete, steel, and glass.

Minimalist white furnishings underscore the spaces, featuring classics from Mies Van der Rohe to Eames, set against the backdrop of modern living.

Timeless Design in Context

The inception of Bedrock House was a journey of abstract trials and tactile explorations. It stands beyond trends, embodying a universal design that adapts to its unique locale and the activities within. Eschewing a singular color identity, it exists in shades of white, clear, and opaque, wrapped in travertine, amidst greenery, and anchored in limestone.

The essence of Bedrock House is captured in its dimensions, its illumination, and the careful placement of architectural forms. It serves as a living canvas, a window to a Mediterranean dream, a platform for life’s rich tapestry—a viewpoint on the world, offering both a stage and a retreat for varied use.
