About Gliding Villa
Blending Tradition with Modernity: Introducing Gliding Villa
Gliding Villa masterfully weaves Thai principles, including Feng Shui, with contemporary design. Nestled at a dead-end road’s terminus, the villa boasts panoramic mountain vistas. Initially, the owners hesitated over the site due to its location. However, strategically segmenting the plot turned this challenge into an asset. By leaving an open courtyard facing the dead-end, a harmonious landscape emerges amidst the property’s living spaces. Aligning Feng Shui’s auspicious settings with natural ventilation, the design champions sustainability, ensuring comfortable habitats.
A Triangular Roof with Purpose
The villa’s distinct triangular roof not only mirrors the neighboring mountains but also binds the design elements cohesively. Clever triangular cut-outs in the roof impart a sense of weightlessness, inspiring the name “Gliding Villa.” Beneath this canopy, outdoor terraces thrive as communal hubs, reminiscent of traditional Thai homes’ terraced spaces. Here, families unite, reminiscing, dining, and celebrating together. By reimagining these age-old concepts, the design achieves a seamless cultural and visual fusion with its surroundings.
Designing for Thailand’s Spiritual Essence
In Thailand, age-old beliefs deeply influence daily life. By designing in harmony with these convictions, architecture resonates with the locale’s spirit. We contend that such alignment intensifies the bond between inhabitants and space, cultivating enduring architectural wonders.
