About Encarnació
Student Living Reimagined in Barcelona
Imagine being a university student in Barcelona. Now, picture sharing a home with eight roommates. But, here’s the twist: each roommate has a private bathroom, and expansive communal areas beckon. Think double appliances in the kitchen. Envision separate pantry cabinets and a grand dining table.
Ample Social Spaces: From Series to Sports
Crave outdoor conversations? There’s a terrace. Prefer indoor banter? Covered spaces await. There’s a multipurpose room, perfect for group studies or board games. And for TV enthusiasts, a spacious room features a large screen. Who wouldn’t want to binge the latest episode or watch the Champions League final there?
A Vision Turned Reality: Shared Housing in Gracia
This isn’t mere imagination. One of our clients saw this vision, investing in a vintage property near the Gracia district. They dreamed of transforming it into a student haven and proposed a comprehensive renovation and design project.
Striking a Balance: Youthful Design Meets Affordability
Our guiding principle? Crafting a lively, laid-back space that’s budget-friendly. The challenge lay in optimizing room layouts. Each space needed a bed, ample storage, a sizable desk, and an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, we prioritized vast social areas to foster deep connections beyond mere schedules and shared duties. The goal? Promote true camaraderie.
Authentic Material Choices: Embracing Originality
For materials, we highlighted the building’s genuine charm. We preserved original floors and walls while crafting custom pine furniture. This approach allowed us to tailor the furnishings, ensuring optimal use of space.
In the end, we unveiled a multi-story residence, teeming with inviting communal areas across four floors.
