Mediterranean Modern: Redefining Exhibition Spaces in Turkey
Mediterranean Modern, designed by Paolo Cesaretti Arch in Istanbul, Turkey, is a groundbreaking exhibition center that redefines architectural space. Inspired by the Mediterranean modern style, this 2023 project echoes the residential architecture found along the Mediterranean coast. It blends classical elements like arches, iconic staircases, and earthy tones with contemporary design.
The interior, reminiscent of a spacious single-family house, flows seamlessly from one abstract, surreal space to another. This exhibition center not only showcases various architectural solutions but also features bespoke furnishings, all crafted from materials supplied by the client, illustrating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation.
About Mediterranean Modern
Embracing Mediterranean Modern: A Design Revolution
Our quest for a formal framework led us to the Mediterranean Modern style. This style, prevalent in residences along the Mediterranean Sea, blends classical elements with modernity. Think arches, iconic staircases, rough textures, and earthy colors. Casa Malaparte in Capri and Gio Ponti’s villas on the North Italian Riviera beautifully exemplify this style.
Abstract and Surreal: Interior Design Reimagined
Our interior design proposal adopts an abstract, sometimes surreal approach. It navigates through a series of interconnected spaces, reminiscent of a spacious single-family home. This design creates an immersive experience that transcends traditional interior layouts.
Innovative Architectural Solutions and Bespoke Furnishings
Mediterranean Modern showcases a variety of architectural solutions and custom-made furnishings. Our team expertly designed these elements, using only materials provided by our client. This project not only displays design innovation but also emphasizes client collaboration in creating unique spaces.
