Community-Centric Design
Emphasizing a pedestrian-friendly environment, the layout of Pixel revolves around an activated public plaza. This plaza serves as the heart of the neighborhood, inviting community interaction while facilitating easy access from the adjacent beach, marina, and event space “The Artery,” designed by Bjarke Ingels Group.
Innovative Architectural Approach
The architectural configuration features seven mid-rise, slim towers, strategically placed to maximize views and optimize natural light. This “mini-tower” approach has been carefully crafted based on research into residential models, ensuring that community orientation remains a priority. Each building is interconnected with vibrant outdoor terraces interspersed with living spaces.
Sustainable Materials and Aesthetics
MVRDV’s design emphasizes a natural and honest aesthetic through the use of pure concrete and ceramics. The facades exhibit intriguing contrasts: rough textured concrete juxtaposed with refined finishes. The ceramics, in various shades and patterns, create a dynamic visual statement while allowing collaboration with artists for unique embellishments.

Pixel offers a range of living options, from compact 50 m² (538 sq ft) units for startups to luxurious larger apartments. Notably, the Makers Village offers studio apartments designed for the younger generation, providing a shared living experience that aligns with contemporary lifestyles.
