Villa C by La Leta Architettura features three levels and is located in Mondello, Italy. The addition of two cuts in the layout, with exterior walls made of stone, illuminate and connect the lower level to the garden. Furniture pieces organised throughout the house include a mix of standard and custom designs made from wood, walnut Alpiwood composite and other materials all unified by warm tones.

FMT Estudio has revamped a historical house in Mérida, Mexico, respecting the neighborhood’s original architectural character. Completed in 2023, the Dolores project involved reconfiguring the property, adding contemporary elements to the original early 20th-century structure. Light volumes were added for contrast, along with wooden and marble details on windows and doors. The team aimed to preserve the neighborhood’s identity while incorporating modern updates to inspire other local developments.

The Berkeley Hills Residence, located in Berkeley, CA, United States, exemplifies contemporary architecture, designed by HAAS Architecture in 2016. The house’s design connects beautifully with nature, showcasing a sleek, modern aesthetic. The expansive interior highlights serene spaces filled with natural light, including a cozy lounge area, a luxurious master en-suite bathroom that opens to the outdoors, and an exquisite wine cellar that complements sophisticated living.

The Magpie House, designed by DGN Studio in London, UK, underwent a transformation in 2022. The home’s owners, mid-century furniture collectors, tasked the studio with renovating and extending the ground floor. The project expanded to include refurbishing the upper floor, integrating vintage pieces from the clients’ collection. With a focus on spatial planning and natural light, the redesign ensures a cohesive flow and connection to the garden, utilising repurposed materials throughout.
